According to reports to men from the greater Kansas City area have accused of selling drugs and also face other drug charges. Police also discovered allegedly stolen property from a nearby store in the possession of these men.
One of the men was also charged with some traffic-related offenses, but neither man was accused of driving under the influence of drugs. Additional charges may be filed since the police continue to investigate.
These charges stem from a tip to police that someone was in the act of selling drugs in the parking lot of a retail store. After arriving at the parking lot described in the tip, the police discovered the two men. One tried to leave the scene on a motorcycle, but police successfully detained both men at the scene of the incident. Police later concluded that both men had ridden to the scene on the motorcycle. The motorcycle had been reported as stolen.
According to police, they found methamphetamine, prescription medication and items commonly associated with the world of drugs. Police also said they found hot dogs that had been taken from the nearby store. The hotdogs were returned to the store but later had to be trashed because they had been exposed to the heat.
These men are now facing serious legal consequences on account of where they were on the night police received their tip. These men will want to strongly consider speaking with a criminal defense attorney about their legal options, as they may both have a chance of getting the allegations against them dismissed outright or at least greatly reduced.
